What is Doctrios, in one sentence?
Doctrios is a free medical simulation platform where you clerk a virtual patient, order investigations and prescribe treatment, while a live physiology engine responds to every decision and a structured debrief grades your reasoning.
Who is Doctrios for?
Medical students, interns and qualified physicians who want to rehearse clinical decision-making without risk to real patients. It is widely used by students at medical schools across Kenya and beyond, and it is free to start.
How is Doctrios different from a quiz app or flashcards?
Quizzes test recall of isolated facts. Doctrios simulates an entire encounter: the patient's physiology reacts to what you actually do, so the wrong investigation wastes time and the wrong treatment shifts their vital signs. You are scored on the reasoning pathway you followed, not just the final answer.
Is Doctrios a real diagnostic or treatment tool?
No. Doctrios is an educational training simulator, not a medical device. It is not a substitute for professional clinical judgement, diagnosis or treatment, and it must never be used for real patient care.
Which conditions can I practise?
Internal-medicine presentations across respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, infectious, renal and neurological systems. Start with COPD in the Medical Library, then open the simulator to manage that same patient.
Does Doctrios work offline / on Android?
Yes. It installs as a Progressive Web App and runs as a lightweight Android app, so you can practise anywhere — online or on the move.
Is Doctrios free, and is there an institution license?
Doctrios is free to start with no license required. Departments and medical schools can use it for teaching, OSCE preparation and self-directed learning — contact Henrios LLC to discuss institutional deployment.
How accurate is the medical content?
Cases and the Medical Library are built against current guidelines — GOLD for COPD, NICE, WHO Essential Medicines and standard internal-medicine references — and every article carries its citations. Content is reviewed for clinical accuracy, but it remains educational and should be checked against your own local formulary.
